– This guitar is a collector’s item with a very special history. Back in the ’90s, my friend Gustavo “Pulga” Luciani, who was bassist for Alejandro Lerner at the time, came to visit me at my Center Music store in Argentina. Gustavo was a childhood friend of mine and lived in Buenos Aires. Ale’s guitarist was Quique Berro Garcia, who split his time between Argentina and England, where he played in Anthony Phillips’ band (the guitarist for Genesis alongside Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins). This Falcon guitar was designed by Peavey in Meridian, Mississippi, exclusively for Anthony. It turns out Anthony stopped using it because the truss rod broke near the nut. Quique brought it to Buenos Aires, gave it to Gustavo, and Gustavo brought it to me to be repaired. I was able to fix the problem with an oversized nut, and then I decided to buy it because of its history. It’s a guitar that embodies the best of Peavey from the late ’80’s. Active circuitry, EMG special design pickups, two-piece cross-grain neck, Kaller tremolo, etc. It’s an impressive guitar with its original case and a lovely history.
